Ropellent is operated by Sellify LLC ("Ropellent", "we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and disclose your personal information when you visit our website, buy from us, sign up for our emails or texts, or otherwise contact us (together, the "Services"). Our store is hosted on Shopify.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If it conflicts with our Terms of Service, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to your personal information.

Personal information we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

  • Contact details: name, billing and shipping address, email address and phone number.
  • Order and transaction information: products you view, add to cart or buy, order history, returns and refund requests.
  • Payment information: payment is processed by Shopify and its payment partners. We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Account information: login details and preferences, if you create an account.
  • Communications: messages you send us, survey answers and product reviews.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, links clicked, referring website and approximate location, collected through cookies, pixels and similar technologies.

Where we get it

  • Directly from you, for example when you place an order, sign up for emails or texts, leave a review, or contact us.
  • Automatically, through cookies, pixels and similar technologies when you use the Services.
  • From service providers and partners who help us run the store, process payments, ship orders and advertise.

How we use it

  • To fulfill orders: process payments, ship products, send order and shipping updates, and handle refunds, replacements and customer support.
  • To run and improve the store: understand how visitors use the site, fix problems and improve products and content.
  • For marketing: send emails and, if you opt in, text messages about products and offers, and show you ads on other websites and apps based on your activity on our site.
  • For security: detect and prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorized activity.
  • For legal reasons: comply with laws, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our terms.

Cookies, pixels and similar technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels and similar tools to keep the store working (for example, remembering your cart), measure site performance, and run and measure advertising. This may include tools from Shopify, Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok and our email and SMS provider. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where offered, the cookie banner on our site. Blocking some cookies may affect how the store works.

Emails and text messages

If you sign up, we'll send you marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. If you opt in to text messages, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing texts at the number you provide. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. We do not sell or share your mobile number or text-messaging opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing.

How we disclose personal information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may disclose it to:

  • Service providers who act on our behalf, such as Shopify (hosting and checkout), payment processors, shipping carriers and fulfillment partners, email and SMS providers, review platforms, analytics providers and customer-support tools.
  • Advertising partners such as Meta, Google and TikTok, which help us show and measure ads. Some US state laws may treat this as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or as "targeted advertising." See "Your US state privacy rights" below to opt out.
  • Others when required: to comply with law or legal process, protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, sale of assets or similar business transaction.
  • With your direction or consent.

Relationship with Shopify

Our store is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve them. Shopify may also use information about your interactions with our store, along with other merchants, for its own enhanced features; in that case, Shopify is responsible for that processing. Your US state privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to:

  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Delete your personal information;
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information and of targeted advertising;
  • Appeal our decision if we deny your request.

To make a request, email us at support@ropellent.com with the subject "Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity before acting. You can use an authorized agent, but we may ask for proof that they have your permission. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as an opt-out of sale/sharing where required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision email; if your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general.

Visitors outside the US

Our products are sold for delivery in the United States, and your information is processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under applicable law, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority, and we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers out of those regions.

Children

The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

Security and retention

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, for example to fulfill orders, meet tax and accounting requirements, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date.
